Hello. Got these from a business remodel. They were pa speakers. Looks to be 10w but 15w max 8 inch.

Thoughts?

They look quite old, and they are made-in-China overhead speakers for an office intercom.

I agree with ThreeChordWonder;

They are trash-worthy.

Or, on second thought..........

.

Key is sizing the cabinet you can put them in.

Look up YouTube channel Eric Shreds and he has a few episodes on putting jacks on practice amps out to cabinets.

.

.

Be careful doing this. I almost killed my Monoprice 15w combo trying this with a "shunted jack" when I didn't even need to do it lol. I still need to put 2 normal jacks in it, though, so I can easily run other amps to it's Celestion speaker.

I actually just hooked one up on my Mustang II so I could run the Monoprice amp through the Mustang's speaker. Surprisingly, it wasn't all bassy like it is in the Mustang. That tells me they purposely designed the Mustang to have too much bass and then they made it so you can't even dial enough out.

All this time, I assumed it was the speaker and/or enclosure that was helping it be far too bassy. Nope. It's programmed that way and it sounds terrible.
