I bought some green sparkle paint ostensibly for a guitar I thought about refinishing but I ended up selling the guitar. I bought this little amp which I’m very fond of and I still had the green paint so....... Here we are. I started with a coat of gray primer and then a second coat of forest green paint and finished with green sparkle on top. I think it turned out pretty well. I’ve done this same thing to a couple of Vox amps but in red and they were very popular.

The little green gem.
Or call it the sparkling Leprechaun.
Looks great and I bet it sounds crunchy.

Life is green,

I can’t tell you how many guitars and amps I bought from my local guitar Center but right now it’s like a ghost town in there. Right now there’s probably seven or eight guitars and maybe a dozen big amps they’ve had forever.

Love-love-love that! Great idea and awesome customization. I assume it's more susceptible to dings compared to tolex?

I have heard a similar tale about the GCs around here. One sales person I know said that half their best customers are older and at risk, and the other half are out of work (including no gigs) or on reduced hours.

Cool paint job!

I am a mechanic, and have used the "vinyl" paint to attempt to match a replacement door panel close to the original, but it seems to wear easily. I'm curious how this holds up, (looks great!)

Honestly I’m not sure how well the paint finish will hold up. The other two red ones I did I ended up selling the first day I listed them. I deal regularly with a guy that bought one of them but it never leaves his house either. This one will just sit in my gear room because I don’t tend to move my stuff around much.

Did you paint it right over the tolex...it looks like it? If so, I missed that comment. I have a cabinet that is a candidate for a color change in the future :sneaky:.
