I'm specking out a partscaster Tele and I need to pick a bridge. Here's my list:

Wilkinson Compensated Bridge
Fender Original 6 Saddle Bridge
Hipshot Compensated Bridge
Babicz Full Contact Bridge

The Fender is only $6.00 more than the Wilkinson. Is there any reason to NOT go with the Fender bridge?

Wilkinson makes some really good stuff for the price. I've never had any issues with their stuff. The question is, how pure Fender do you want your guitar to be? If it doesn't matter, then you can't really go wrong with Wilkinson bits. Just my own experience.

I've got the Wilkinson 3-saddle on my Tele partscaster. It's a good, solid bridge. Had no problem getting the guitar intonated. No idea about the Fender, not sure if there are different models or quality levels. I love the 6-saddle on my American Series.

I use a Babicz FCH on one of my Teles and on two of my basses. They aren't inexpensive but they are worth the money. Better sustain and the Ecam system makes setups and restringing much easier and saves time.

Yes there's a reason to buy the Wilkinson over the Fender. The Wilkinson bridge is a lot thicker and more substantial than the Fender piece. The Fender bridge feels flimsy and cheap to me. The Wilkinson does not.
