I am getting an acoustic guitar soon, and I have been thinking about amp's, I really want an Marshall stack, but I don't know how good this will work.
If it dosen't work im buying a fender acoustasonic...

I've always had good results with my acoustics through solid state amps. Takes a little EQing but you can get a good tone usually. Through my tube amps it always seemed to break up extremely easily.

Hi WB, you may be better off with a dedicated acoustic amp like the acoustasonic you mentioned. That will allow you to cover any low-moderate volume applications, and serve as an on stage monitor if you gig with it. You can run the direct out to a PA.

Some tube amps can sound fine with an acoustic, but I doubt a typical Marshall head would be a good choice. Marshal did make an acoustic amp, but not sure if it's still in production. It was/is quite pricey.

I think they still make the acoustic amps, but I really disliked the looks of it. So I think Im going for an Fender Acoustasonic..

I used to run my taylor through a marshall halfstack on the green channel for a few songs in my bands set. If you dial in the guitar FOR the amp, then you can get some pretty good tones. Obviously not as good as a acoustic guitar amp, but workable without having to haul and soundcheck another instrument/line as well as your electric.
