Finally got around to fleshing out the guitars. Ruff mix for reference.
Now it's cleanup time. LoL

Gotta say this arrangement kicks butt. I like that your vox seem to be moving up in the mix a bit, works better across my different outputs. The guitars fit in perfectly and as a whole the song gets stronger the more you've done with it. really solid work IMHO.
Would that require making the first bass line simpler so the second line doesn't get lost?tic tac bass

Thanks Erica. This one is coming a bit slower than the first three...but it's worth it.Lovin' this!
Especially those double stop solo bits!
The vox are too up front for my tastes,

Yeah, worth it.Thanks Erica. This one is coming a bit slower than the first three...but it's worth it.
Yup...but when Carol Kaye came along, she sort of did a lot of that all at once! You play the exact same line. My Dano Six string bass will do it well. You give it a bit more treble and use a pick. It's an old trick that was born in late 50's Nashville and spread through the system. You'd have an upright, a Fender bass, and a Dano Baritone/six string bass. The Dano would give it the attack to bust through a car radio. A click if you will. Tic....tac.![]()
Playing with a pick...that'll do it. And the string mute. The Beat Goes On.Yup...but when Carol Kaye came along, she sort of did a lot of that all at once!
I still dig tic-tac bass
