Which of your guitars has the best tuning stability?

I found the best mod you can do to help strat trems stay in tune…. Raw vintage springs. I have them in all 6 strats… they all hold tune very well. Two in particular hardly ever knock out. I run all 5 springs except one where I run 3. For some reason that worked better.. try them!! Cost ya 20.00. I float my trem about 5mm so it’ll pull up about half step. I also would suggest brass block… better bell like tone and the trem can even flutter like a Rose… it’s cheap to try… I stress on the block, know what your string spacing is… it matters

@GT3Twenty10, I think my strat holds tune extremely well. I don't really feel the need for any further improvements. Even in the worst case scenario after a lot of abuse, it may (or may not), go sharp or flat a few cents on a couple of strings. One really has to have a perfect pitch to be able to hear that in a live setting.

It's a close race between my 2017 affinity contemporary and my Les Paul fake kit guitar. I've left both of those hanging on the wall for weeks or even a month or 2, and pulled them down and they were still 98% in tune. That parlays right into playing stability. If I can figure out how this affinity strat is so good at it, maybe I can get some of that into my other strats. Lol

Do what you want… have fun. It’s just a cheap way to experiment with tone,
sustain and better tune holding

Just curious. I have six electric guitars. My ESP LTD ST-1 owns them all, easily. It just never goes out of tune. I set it up two weeks ago, and it has stayed in perfect tune ever since. By perfect, I mean zero cents tolerance on all six strings. I bend strings a lot, I've used vibrato arm on two occasions as well, and it just won't go out of tune. It's a double locking Floyd Rose system, so I expected great tuning stability when I purchased the guitar, but this is just beyond impressive.
Electric: My '93 Am Std Strat. The worst is my Heritage 555.
Acoustic: My '79 Ovation Balladeer which has been through the dress rehearsal for the grand opening of Hell in the past 44 years. I can pick it up right now and.... yep, only the A string is slightly flat. The last time I tuned it was I don't remember. My other Ovation ('94 Legen) and my '16 Takamine CP4DC-OV are pretty good, but don't even compare to the old plastic and spruce battle-ax

All of them. None have tuning stability issues, not even the Jazzmaster or my Bigsby equipped Duojet.

I have this now in C standard tuning and still plays amazing. I'm sure it has to do with the carbon rods in the neck.

My Versoul "Henry" model. It's vaguely an LP-type, but the woods and construction are so wonderfully done that it is not only beautifully and a rocket to play, but also incredibly solid and stable. Its wooden components are so nicely aged, cut, and assembled that the guitar actually feels relaxed when you pick it up -- no inner stresses or shifting in the woods or the build. It's really nice to play a guiat that intonates really well and which does not require touching up the tuning every few minutes of playing.

These two:

The Tele has a slight edge on tuning stability, but not by much…I blocked the vibrato on the Strat two dozen years ago, so that particular factor isn’t in play.

I have a Telecaster, a Stratocaster, an Eastman and several Ovation guitars so I have no real tuning stability issue.
If I have to pick one, I'd say the Ovations are the most stabile. Crazy good guitars IMHO...

Yes, i do play music which involves heavy bending several hours every day, lots of SRV songs, Gary Moore, stuff like freebird from Lynyrd Skyndrd etc. I bend the **** out of all my guitars.I have never in my life had a guitar that reacts to abuse the same way this ESP does. It's like a guitar with an Evrrtune bridge. The strings are/were new when I set it up. Maybe when the strings wear out, thuning won't be as stable.
If you can play lightly enough not to wear the strings so they go out of round, you'll find they hold tune better and better as they lose their elasticity.

Believe it or not I have an HB TE70 and a Fender Strat Vintera both keep great in tuning. A few months ago I got a brand new Ibanez 7 String RGDR Prestiege with a monorail style bridge and it’s a pain to keep in tuning.
