Picked up this Strat plastics pack recently and was wondering if someone could help identify how old it is.

Does anyone know when this style of packaging was available?

No idea, but it sure looks old. The serial number or whatever it is has 99 as the first number. That could be a clue, although I don't know if Fender sold parts back then.

Ebidis is correct. I found some similar packaging on Reverb and it says it's from the 80s.
I just thought it had that total '80s kind of graphic art aesthetic to it.

I seem to remember everything in the '80s having horizontal multi color stripes. 🤣

Fender have just added a ‘0’ to the front of the modern part numbers. This is the modern version of the same white accessory kit:

Just going by the logo, they didn't start using that style of script on headstocks till the mid to late 60's and the ® wasn't used with it on case logos till the late 70's or so. So 80's is probably about right.

I was guessing 80s or 90s too. Definitely before I was aware of/cared about strat replacing parts. Not sure if they sold parts like that in the 70s. Maybe they did. I didn’t exist.

I was wondering whether it could be from the very late ‘70s but the consensus seems to favour the ‘80s.

I haven't seen packaging like that since my college years (1980-84) - so late CBS era. I got my first non-dime-store guitar - a Fender Lead II - in November 1979 and it seems like the Fender strings were using that packaging back then. I think I used Fender strings for the first couple of string changes and switched to GHS after that. And I think that packaging ended when FMIC took over, but CBS/Fender might have changed from it a bit earlier (maybe mid-1983 when they revamped their model lineup).
