Just ordered a Diamond Memory Lane.

The company was recently resurrected after going out of business a couple years bag.

The original Memory Lane (analog bucket brigade) and Memory Lane Jr. (digital with some analog ciricuitry) were darlings of the boutique crowd on TGP.

This version is an updated of the digital model in smaller form factor.

Supposed to have some of the best bbd-style modulation out there.

Kudos to the cool gear purchased by all...

I got this a few days ago and ordered replacement knobs and a chord to play it through my cabinet...

HOWEVER, I also ordered...correction, thought I ordered a new chorus pedal.

What I got instead was a protective cover for a pedal....cheap lesson learned. Pay attention to what you're buying.

The old Valvestates - very good amps.

My larger version is with Marshall at the moment being overhauled as it went bang after 30 years sterling service.

Yeah, man. I always wanted to play with one, and yesterday the wire to connect it to my 4x10 cab came a few days early...

What a difference it makes!

Tomorrow the knobs arrive..a lil more spit and polish and I'll have a nice lil Marshall head.

Actually got this G-K bass amp head a few weeks ago, a long with a 4x10 cabinet.

According to the guy who gave it away for FREE, the cab had a problem with a speaker...fixed in 10 minutes. And the amp head lights up, but has a problem....he thinks.

Yesterday, while tinkering, I decided to try to connect the head again...this time I got it right and the thing plays fine.

Moral of the story...the guy who gave it away was super cool, but A LOTTA folks give stuff away they think is broken, when they just don't know how to operate it.

I used to get AV gear like that all the time, when I sold that stuff.

A couple weeks ago, I saw a Boss Super Distortion pedal on local Facebook Marketplace for $10. The ad said it didn’t work. I figured I’d tinker with it for fun. When I got it home, It worked fine. I think they must’ve gotten it at an estate sale or something, put a battery in and clicked it, not knowing you have to plug in a chord to make it come on.

Nutty perhaps but I bought not the first, not a second, but my third Maxon AD900, this one is the early two chip with the panasonic MN3005 chips. So now I have one 4 chip AD900 and two 2 chip AD900s.
My other 2 chip has a broken jack, which I need to replace.
I really dislike plastic jacks and worse still board mounted jacks because they do break!
Easy fix here because the jacks are case mounted with flying leads to the board.
Just have to ream the case to put Switchcraft jacks where the smaller metric jacks were.
This one getting fixed is very early, check that serial number: 000699
Maybe this belongs in the whats on your workbench thread?

Just got a Deluxe Electric Mistress from a fellow Strat-Talker.

She likes her new pals. View attachment 648845
How do you lke it and why the DEM?
I guess Gilmour and Summers are the best known sound examples, with the bit of chorusy lean to the flange as opposed to over the top jet plane swoosh.
I do not like jet plane swoosh but have a Mooer ElecLady EM clone and did not quite bond with that circuit.
Just bought, yes a second one, an OOP HBE Frostbite flanger which is based on the A/DA.
Great subtle sounds are possible but flanger designers have a creepy tendency to put pet names on the controls instead of just saying what the functions are.
This is the one I just bought.

You act like it being basswood is a problem. Fender just released a MIJ series that are almost all made from Basswood. And these aren't $200 guitars they're selling. To be frank, many high end guitars are and have been made from basswood.

I don't know where people came up with the idea that's it's somehow bad and it's somehow considered a "cheap" wood. There are countless $1000+ guitars out there made of basswood. And I don't mean a bunch of crappy guitars with $1000 prices. I mean actual high quality guitars.

At the store I used to work at, we called what you described about the pedal you copped....

A few days ago my 11 year old son played with my digital caliper and broke it.

I was not very happy. No joke, it’s my favorite tool.

A couple days ago I ordered a new one from Amazon. It arrived today. Turns out my wife ordered the exact same one as a Father’s Day gift for me. It will get here tomorrow.

I just really like having the classic pedals in my collection. It sounds great and is fun tweaking the knobs. I have a Boss Flanger too which has an Ultra mode for a strong whooshing airplane sound.

Me too, and I have mixed feelings about wanting to have at hand so many tools I really hardly use but want access to.
Funny though how many people say they do not like Flangers based on maybe over the top classic cuts, or trying one or two flanger pedals.
Flangers are like ODs, all different.
