For this reason alone I'm really hoping my apple trees yield good apples this year. Last year was kind of weird. We got good cherries. One peach tree yielded a bunch then before they ripened the entire tree withered and died. I had to cut it down this year. The other peach tree withered but stated to regrow so I need to cut the dead part of this year. Both Apple trees yielded but never fully ripened. In about another 6 or 7 years we should also have pecans too. That tree is really starting to take off now too. I'm thinking a good pair tree or two would be nice since they grow well around here.
I'm hoping the black raspberry bushes produce too since they were super good and sweet last year. Also, the tape vine is going to be loaded down as much as our cherry tree is.

Yesterday I picked about 3 pounds and took them to my mom.
Today I went to the store and got a box of freezer bags then picked another, almost, 16 pounds. Divided and bagged 15 of them at one pound each.

We'll keep them for winter when fruit is more expensive here.
Tomorrow, when I get home from work I'll try to get another 5 pounds. I am pretty sure there is at least that much left on the tree. So far I have picked almost 24 pounds that were keepers.

I buy foodstuffs online, and have my groceries delivered since neither of us drive any more,

I was going to buy some fresh cherries yesterday but the local store was charging US$ 9.99 per pound.

Ten bucks a pound?
Not for us.
