Hi all. New forum member here. I lost my whammy bar many years back and decided to get a new one. I ordered one on Amazon that was listed as size 10-24 thread. It was an official made by fender one. It did not fit, it was too large to screw into the hole on the bridge. It's a 1998 China made Squire Strat Affinity, serial starts with CY. I also see 10-32, 5mm, 6mm. Any guidance will be appreciated. Thanks.

You will have to try and fit - it's not 10/32 - it's going to be metric......maybe your local guitar shop might have a bunch of arms you could try......

Or try threaded screws at the hardware store to see what fits....

Welcome to the forum!!

There's no 100% definitive answer, Squier was using all kinds of parts back then.....
