Guys? Y’all realise that he has some real expert knowledge on this, right? He asked the Facebook Strat Specialist Group (registered trademark).
So of course it’s a super duper rare special model with tonewood, unicorn tears and pickups wound by Leo himself. Any further questions?

Oh don't be ridiculous. Leo didn't wind pickups. We all know that Abby wound the Fender pickups, every one of them from 1950 till now. Even after she retired she still wound every set. I know it's true because I read in on the internet...

I suspect that beneath all the non-standard parts and fakery it's a Squier Stratocaster SE. The dual string tree locations, long truss rod hole, and extended heel flat that isn't smoothed, are all "fingerprints" of an SE neck. If that's so, why not the agathis body, too?

When I'm shopping on EB, I go more by what I see than what I'm being told I see.
Check out the listing for Jazzmasters when you get the chance. It's a world of entertainment. enlightment, and total malarky in most cases. Another great search is "12 string electric guitars", which are apparently mostly from another planet. And all around $200.

Even though he'd set up two rival manufacturers since he left nearly two decades earlier and he didn't know how to wind pickups, he travelled to Japan to wind pickups for Squier?
That's dedication for you.
