Hi guys, wondering if anyone can help me out. I bought a squire strat recently and although I can find them in the same color as mine I can't find any at all with this same quilted top. Wondering if anybody knows anything. It's made in Indonesia. I've had it apart and the body and neck both say IC but the neck and body are about 5 months apart, from 04-05. Any info would be helpful as I'm wondering if it's a special edition or anything. It's a standard. Pics to follow

Is it a Squier Standard QMT from 2004, Quilt Maple Top....I had a Flame Maple Top FMT version....

That's not an original Squier body as far as I know.....it has the wrong type of trem....does your neck have a big headstock and say STANDARD on the front in script on the ball??

You have a parts guitar, with a Squier FMT or QMT 2004 Standard neck, and the loaded pickguard by the looks of it....but the body and the bridge isn't right.....the bridge should be a wide 63mm spaced 2 point, with solid block rough cast saddles.....

Yeah the bridge type is all kinds of wrong so it can't be original/stock.....

Cheers. Nothing seems to come up in that search. Any idea why the body has the same stamp and follows the Indonesia details. I think before I tried the serial somewhere else and it came back and Cort factory or something. If my memory is right haha

Yeah its quilted maple for a start and that pickguard looks cut by hand by someone .

Google 'Jay Turser QMT Strat' you will see some kind of similar features....
The Squier neck is made by Cort, that body could be from even the same factory but it's some other model with another name brand on the original neck....
Oh yea I see what you mean. They seem to have gold hardware there but I don't know if that's a blanket thing, I'll keep looking. The back plate on mine is a fender plate which is inconsistent with your squire plate, yours I'd assume it's the correct plate so there's another mismatch. Unsure how I feel about the Jay turser body... And now I have no idea what pickups etc I have in this either which is irritating...

Show us the pickup bobbin bottoms - my guess is you have the original good quality Squier alnico pickups in there.....

Yep, just as I suspected - stock Squier Standard QMT/FMT loaded pickguard....nice low output vintage style alnico V pickups....
