I would say I'm a "competent" guitarist, but I'm not flash or a virtuoso by any stretch of the imagination. Thing is, I'd rather sound like me, and not like anyone else. Sure, I have my influences, but I still try to have my own identity. For me, trying to play someone else's song super accurately, without mistakes, limits originality in my own style.
