Unless they're bringing the Abbott brothers back from beyond, there's no "Pantera Reunion" ever.... tribute, celebration, etc., would be much better imo.

A casual sniff test sure makes this smell like a gimmicky money-grab by somebody.

Zakk these days looks like something dug out of a grave. Does that count? 😁

I agree though...call it a tribute or similar. No doubt though Phil and Rex are trying to make a few bucks and I don't fault them for that. Everyone has a right to earn a living. Fans will decide whether it's worth it to attend. Given the "star" power of Zakk and Charlie, it could still be a fun show.

I agree they can (and should) be free to try and tour like they are proposing -- nothing wrong with that, but just not using the name "Pantera Reunion".... seems dumb.

Would it be…COULD it be…called a Beatles reunion without John and George?

I think not. And Pantera isn’t even in my personal wheelhouse. It’s more a matter of principles at this point.

I was never a huge Pantera fan, but I agree it should be named more along the "Tribute" line. I thought I read something that Zakk said it was not a Pantera tour but indeed a tribute to Dime and Vinnie and the music of Pantera. All the old bands tour with one or two members left, so I say why not. I wouldn't actually pay to see them though.

I work at a casino that has live entertainment, maybe 1200 seats max for a big show
I recently saw a decent kiss cover band for 10$
Tesla is playing Saturday and Skid Row in a month or two. 70$ a ticket, no way I would pay that.
I don't know who is left in Tesla but Skid Row is down to 2 original peeps.
Just my 2c

There are two versions of Skid Row..Bach's version and the rest of the guys with a new singer who sounds really, really good (not $70 good but still..)...They just played here in SoCal a couple days ago with Warrant, Winger and Quiet Riot.. Tix were $30-50 if memory serves...I woulda went but we were out of town.

I will go for sure whatever they call it, although I do agree it should be a tribute, but I'm not going there because of what it will be called I'm going there to to see a show, to Me Zakk is a great logical choice, best friends with dime and I'm sure he's got that power groove going as well, as for Benante fantastic Power drummer who attended dimebash every year so he's def a Vinny Paul fan

Cheers
