One Amp, Forever

Had a Mesa Roadking that gave me every tone I could think of that I wanted. I decided it was overkill and sort of a bragging rights thing and passed it along. I regret that move! That was the one amp I could live with for the rest of my days.

Limit myself to one amp for the rest of my life? Money no object?
Easy.
I'm with grumpah.
Original version Custom Shop Vibro-King ... in blonde of course.
Arguably the best amp Fender has made in the last 30+ years.
I'll take the matching 212 ext cab too for those times I want to seriously rock out.
If money's no object then I'm rich enough I can afford a roadie when I get too old to carry it.

I’ve got one. Great amp. We once re-housed a 6G6-B into a 2x10 cabinet with an outboard reverb built-in, feeding the front of it. That was even better.

I'll stick with my Fender CyberTwin SE as long as I don't have to carry it up or down stairs. I can get most sounds I want from it just using the onboard effects, and it is pedal-friendly.

Id need to do a lot of research before deciding.
That said, I love my Gibson Falcon 19rvt the best of mine, cause it sounds so good with it's weber 12a125-a, is fairly loud for up to medium sized settings, and has really lush tremolo, and great reverb. My Richter Tweed Deluxe is close in the running.

If you were going to have only one amp — regardless of type, cost or otherwise — for the rest of your life, what would it be? And why?
I started with a 1969 Fender Super Reverb back around 1970.....after countless amps I've gone full circle...I'm ending with a 1972 Fender Super Reverb. Dozens of other amps never got me back that SR sound. Missed it for about 46 years. Not switching ever again.

Fryette Aether. Maybe the most beautiful-sounding amp I’ve ever heard. (Maybe - there’s some tough competition.) It’s versatile, loud enough and has one of the world’s greatest overdrives. I’d own one now if I had an extra $5,000.

I haven't found anything I like better than my original 1965 black face Fender Pro Reverb.
Of course this is subjective and the opinion of the authors, but I do agree with it, from Wikipedia:

"Teagle and Sprung, authors of the definitive book on Fender amplifiers (Fender Amps: The First Fifty Years) described the Blackface Pro Reverb as the best amplifier ever produced, likely due to its combination of the two twelve inch speakers, its high quality reverb and tremolo, and just the right amount of power to get either classic Blackface Fender cleans or natural tube breakup at reasonable volumes. They wrote, "the author recommends these amps as the best all-around amp ever made—by anyone".[1]

I have other amps I also like and others will have their favorites, but if I had to choose only one, this would be it.

Hhhmmmm. Can we assume it will work as is for the entirety of our lives?

If so, I'm going to go with the Fender Tonemaster Deluxe.
Surprised? Me too. I hadn't considered this question recently. Previously, I would have answered BF Fender Super Reverb, but upon revisiting the question, the TM Deluxe came to mind.
110v/240v compatible so it can be played anywhere, lightweight, highly portable (I have proven I can toss it in a suitcase for global travel), direct out, great sound, loud enough for any band situation I may encounter, power scaling for home use. Is it my favorite amp? No. Is it the most useful? To me, at this time, yes.
If I could give you more than one like I would. I bought a TM Deluxe and loved it. But it wasn't quite big enough for a couple outdoor gigs. So I bought a TM Twin. To my delight, it sounded even better than the Deluxe. Very very satisfied. Oh, and BTW, a BF Super Reverb was my other choice. But after struggling to lift one and being so happy with my TMs that it was an easy choice. Plus, I can play them at home without blowing out the windows.

I’m very content with my Tone Master Twin Reverb. Sounds great. Looks cool. Can be played at bedroom levels or at a football stadium. Best part is I can pick it up with one hand and go for a walk if I feel like it.
