NGD Gibson SG Jr.

I just scored this awesome simple rock and roll machine, figuring it kills two birds at once; gets me an SG, and a single P90 guitar for the arsenal.

This thing friggin rips, and then it just lulls you into doom metal because it sounds so gloomy on the Low E and A strings. And that’s with no pedals/effects! I think I’ve gotta try drop D tuning on this bad boy. Love the thin body, it’s super lightweight, and the tone change when you get the volume on the guitar cranked to 10, even with low gain clean amp settings, so sick! Man, the Junior has such a grr type dirty grit growl to it that I was impressed. So naturally then when I turn up the gain on the amp, holy smokes! You all should get yourselves one lol

I had a 66 and a 63 Jr. One had a vibrolla on it, and the other had the Compensated wrap around bridge. I can’t remember which was which now. You’ve got a cool guitar man!

Very cool, have not seen one in a shop but almost bought a 21st C double cut LP Jr.

The SG and SG Jr started off as Les Paul models, I used to have a 61 backin the '90s.
Les got cranky about Gibson putting HIS name on their new design so they changed the name to SG, but to many of us that is still a LP Jr.
