Guys, I bought a Squier Affinity Stratocaster. One of those new ones, chinese made. Look at this beauty? It was a fairly good guitar. I deeply modded it. She lasted original a couple of days. Now it's a GREAT guitar. I would say that, for some reasons, I like her more than my FR CV. Just think about that I had to completely change the bridge over my CV 'cause it was unusable and I changed just the saddles over the Affinity 'cause the bridge is just perfect. Fretboard is 100% perfect, well made nut, very light thin poplar body. I've been absolutely surprised.

Sweet looking Strat! I bought an amp at the GC down the road yesterday. The used JVaughan Strat I'd become accustomed to using while testing amps had been sold :(...so the search for a guitar (ANY guitar) that would tune up with respectable intonation began again. I tried four before getting frustrated and picking up the twin to yours which was sitting on a single stand right next to the amp I wanted to play. Bam--it was dead on :thumb: after a quick tweak of the high E...double-checked the back of the headstock--definitely from China (not a showstopper for me as my wall can attest). Good guitars that go to great with just a bit of tinkering. Carry on.

Sweet looking Strat! I've been pretty impressed lately with just how good the Squier guitars are considering what they sell for. I don't see anything that beats them in their price range.

Just love this thing.

2009 Bullet upgraded electronics , full size pots, 5 way switch, output Jack, modern string trees, thicker body and amazing RW neck .It's cost a few bucks but worth every cent. Best player I have, fully gigable. Squier guitars are awesome, and this is not even a new one. IMG_20230216_224636.jpg Under the hood.

Looks great. If Squier made full 1.75 thickness bodies (other than the CV line) I'd own some.
The "no longer in production" Standard and Deluxe models hanging on my wall measure at 1.76 and 1.82 respectively. I've never owned a Pro-Tone model, but I understand those have the thicker bodies as well.
