All over the place!
I've never heard of a Fender one.

I know there were some in the early day made in USA and there are plenty of Squier ones.

Is there such a thing?
Because I've just bought one :thumbd:

FYI there is a such thing as a Fender Bullet. They came out around 1981. It was a student model made to replace the Mustang and Music master. Pics below.

Yep, but not a Strat at all.
How are those not Strats at all? This looks pretty Stratty to me? Only thing I see that's not Strat is the headstock and the name? Then there's the red "Tele" Bullet I accidentally posted. That other yellow one with the single pickup looks like a Strat, too, though

They had a strat-esque shape to them but they were way off. the body is smaller, the contours are different and the pickguard/routing is nothing of a strat.

The body is sort of strat-ish, but in addition to the different headstock, there are only two pickups; only two knobs; there’s no trem; string through body. It seems more like a mix between a tele and a duo sonic.

I don't understand how this happened. Did you pay the cost of a bullet? Or the cost of a Mexican Standard? or somewhere in between? This is a great thing for you. It seems like both of you were unsure and it worked out in your favor. Very good for you.

All over the place!
After it being advertised as a Bullet and clearly not any of the eighties ones I think it put a lot of people off bidding.
Suffice to say it was significantly cheaper than the normal.
It's stripped down now, ready for a proper setup; Clean thoroughly, fret level, crown and polish, action and intonation.
I do have a set of Wilkinson easy lock tuners and a big block bridge that might go on it but only if I see any issues with the current parts on it.
I have the Candy Apple red one with some Tonerider pickups in so I'll almost certainly leave the stock pickups in this one. I quite like the sounds of them.
It'll take me a while to get to it though. I have another one to set up for a friend.

I can try out my new tools from Amazon!
