If it says "Squire," it's a fake.
Not really funny when someone, especially a new member is trying to identify something.
Sure, but - the OP (whom I heartily welcome to the forum) - is studying this guitar very closely, to the point of noticing that the "q" in the logo seems off - yet he keeps writing "Squire". It's just kind of comical, and nothing wrong with pointing it out with some gentle ribbing.
I suspect this happens a lot due to autocorrect on certain devices, and people just fail to catch it. But I will admit that when I see someone write "Squire" over and over, I have to wonder why they don't just make the minimal effort to get it right. It's like writing "Fendre" repeatedly, as if that were the actual brand name.
Maybe the original Squire bridge had that long of screws,

I agree. Why fake a cheap guitar? No money to be made there.I wouldn’t think a Squier would be valuable enough to go through the hassle of faking.
I am no expert though.
Well it depends...I agree. Why fake a cheap guitar? No money to be made there.
Good point and well said. My concern was new members aren’t used to the humour here and catching the subtlety of the post would be easily missed when reading each post and trying to figure out what’s what.![]()
OP has missed several hints, plus it's written right there on the headstock, yet he keeps writing "Squire."If it says "Squire," it's a fale.
Yep, it really annoys me - like writing Gibsno repeatedly.Sure, but - the OP (whom I heartily welcome to the forum) - is studying this guitar very closely, to the point of noticing that the "q" in the logo seems off - yet he keeps writing "Squire". My original Japanese 57 Reissue JV Squier is worth £1500+ at the moment. And it's still the best Strat I ever owned. Probably owned 30 or so over the years and I have 12 others at the moment including Custom Shop, USA, Mexican and other Japanese modelsI agree. Why fake a cheap guitar? No money to be made there.
$56 guitar.....$215 shipping....good dealWell it depends...
Buy this:
Slap a Squier sticker on it and go fish !!!
If you put a Squier sticker, resell it for 200$, you double your money... and it will likely attract less knowledgeable buyers, looking for a low costs instrument...
