I've been enjoying playing bass, so I got a new one to compliment my Bronco. Mostly cause it's black with a big ol' humbucker. Simple design, maple neck. In the unlikely event I go full scale one day, I'll probably go for the Geddy Lee model, but for now, this will be fine. Should be here in a week. Let's get ready to rumble!

I bought one in the great PAS sale of 2022. I got the blue one for $135 shipped. Plus tax. Truthfully it’s in the box still under my bed. I only dabble in bass and have 3 in the rack at the moment. Guess I should see if there really is a bass in there. Lol. I was giving it to somebody for Christmas but they decided to quit bass and learn guitar. Maybe I will just pass the deal on to someone else

Yea might be good to move it to someone who will use it a bunch.

I got interested in bass a very long time ago, when I found bass players were in higher demand than 6 stringers lol. Found out it was a blast. I'm coming back to it both for that reason and a general expansion of my exploration of music in general currently. I joined the School Of Rock adult program here (we're doing 'alt' songs) so kinda 'rewarded' myself with this for sticking with it. Moon Over Marin!

The PAS sales are hard to beat. I got a Squier CV 50s-style Tele and a Squier CV 50s-style P bass from them last fall.

Got here quickly. (Actually got here yesterday and I missed the delivery.) I like it. I prefer the balance on my Bronco, but I plan to get a thick, wide strap. I imagine the slightly longer scale and larger head stock affects that. Sounds good. The Bronco will go into hibernation.

I find it pleasing! I have not used it with a drummer, but at home works fine.

Now that I think about it, I have used a Rumble 40 in a band context before, this is my second one (with a Bronco). This was from a show a long time ago from when I played bass with them. It worked fine in this context. This was a good, but doomed, line up.

I sold all that, but am 'rigging back up' with the Jag and the Rumble. I'm incorporating the retired fireplace as the 'bass nook'. Eventually will drill a hole in the side of the fireplace and run the power cord through it into a plug in the next room.

Here it is in context. An electric drum kit will eventually go in the corner where the chair is. Much to do yet.

I got one of these in Charcoal Frost back in March, my friend's band needed a bass player. With a good setup it's a really nice bass, especially since you can get them for $200 or under on sale.
