How much do you like 3-color sunburst on a Strat?

I have seen several threads, where people mention either loving or hating the 3-color sunburst. I’m curious about how people feel about this finish. Call it cool, call it beautiful, classic, boring, whatever you call it, how much do you like the 3-color sunburst on a Strat?

It’s not my favorite but I do like it and I do respect the tradition.

I like it. Its classic and cool. I gave it 8 out of 10. But I still prefer a solid color for strats.

I used to like it much more in the past but these days I'm into solid colors with metal flake in them... just does that certain something... I give the sunburst finishes a 6 out of 10..

Clown bursts on fender and gibsons are not my cup of tea.

I'd just as soon strip the finish off one and play it bare.

Prefer a 2 tone burst but a nice three tone is fine too. 8/10

Not a fan of sunburst on any guitar... except some rare cases and versions. I like solid colors on Strats and Teles. Even on LP's... they have about 100 versions of burst over there and there are maybe three I like.

I really don't like the 3TSB. The 2 tone sunburst can look pretty good depending on the wood grain and how it was done.

I hated it for a period of time where I much preferred the 2-tone of '56 & '57 and what I call the "one-tone" of '54 & '55 where only one color was faded into the natural wood. I'm back to liking the 3-color at the 8 out of 10 level I punched 'cause I see The Ventures played the 3-color on their early albums..

I rated it 7, up from 3, because while it didn't excite me that much to have yet another left handed sunburst in its original finish, once I scrubbed it over with a kitchen scourer to a nice matte finish, the colours really "showed up" and it looks really good.

It's just a shame that it has fallen into my partscaster project. Now it's a very nice body with decent parts in it that I may not get to use anymore, until I procure a new neck for it.

With solid colors, there aren't any colors where I'd want more than one guitar that color. I don't need more than one black guitar, I don't need more than one surf green or oly white. I get bored. I had two red ones for like a month and decided to sell one of them.

I don't get bored with natural finishes and bursts. I still have the wood grain giving each guitar something unique. 3tsb is my favorite.

I certainly like the look okay... but seem old-school. I don't have any bursts. But rock what you dig.
