lol, that orange juice doesn’t look like it would be enough to piss me off 😁

Great story nonetheless! And glad to see that you are doing well.

However…!

I read it in its entirety seventeen times and have yet to find the part that articulates how you got your name of Fluffy Bunny Feet!
Yeah, maybe I should have said screen name. That other one to which you refer is a completely different (Christmas) story.

Once I made it to the floor that my room is on a had a girl moment but I was able to keep it all down.
Reading back across this thread again I see a typo that could be misconstrued. It should read hurl moment... not girl moment.
Stupid spell checker!

Also, I still haven't had to take anything stronger than an extra strength Tylenol for pain.
Now I have to push myself to make it hurt to get the range of motion where it needs to be. Pushing yourself past your own threshold of pain is the hard part as I'm sure @Wulfrik and @rolandson can attest.

Pushing isn't gonna be of any benefit. I'm afraid that after a bunch of bone scans, and a bone biopsy, the revisionist determined my knee is beyond help. The original surgeon did a bang up job destroying the bone around the implant, so much so that the revisionist refers to him as a hack.

And...
I like the typo better.

You're gonna get arrested.
But in a good way!
And, you'll be the life of the party in the holding cell!
Been there a few times already. Never in the good way though. Funny thing about the first time, though is that I was running with a bad crowd and working a dangerous job 6 nights a week. Due to me not seeing how the group was eating me up I was constantly worn down and not getting any sleep. I ended up wrecking my truck because the brakes failed (I know that gets used a lot but they actually did fail and I proved it to the judge). Instead of calling anyone at all I went to the cell and fell asleep. It was the best sleep I had in a year at the time. Talk about a wake up call! It wasn't much after that, I got cleaned up and moved to KC (I was arrested in Liberty, a suburb of KC) and got myself straightened out.

I’m amazed that you didn’t need super strong pain meds. That’s great. So far it seems like things are going right. Hopefully it keeps going in that direction.
Thank you, after the first replacement, when I started popping them like candy I really started dreading the next one. I hate what they do to me. I feel like I'm in a constant fog that I become dependent on. The narcs don't stop the pain at all (at least not for me), they just make me not care. I can't sleep when I'm on them but I'm tired and can't go to bed without them. Once the discomfort starts that's a sign that there's is pain coming so I would take one to be ready.
I got to the point that I was hiding how many I was taking and when I realized what I was doing (lying to myself and worse yet, my wife), I dumped a completely full bottle down the toilet. I spent the next couple weeks coming out of the haze and in excruciating pain but it was better than the alternative.
When the revision came, it didn't hurt. I can't tell you why other than I prayed for it to be easier than the first one. Same thing with this one. The entire staff that worked on me were perplexed and my wife says she's amazed at show I can grab my walker and just go walk where I want.
Sure, there's pain but it's not unbearable and it's temporary. It normally wakes me up early in the morning after I've been sleeping in one position for about 6 hours.

So,a week into this and I'm walking pretty much unassisted. Still considered a fall risk and my knee gives every now and again, never enough to make me think I'm going to fall but I keep the walker with me. Still haven't needed anything more that a couple extra strength Tylenol for pain every now and then. I do keep the polar pack close though because it definitely helps.
Also, per docs instructions, it was time to change the dressing today. Boy was I shocked when I pulled the old one off. No staples (which I specifically asked for), no stitches either... only glue! That's a first for me on the knee surgeries. It was done that way on my neck, and second hernia but on the 9 previous knee surgeries, I've always had to have something removed.

Time for another walk now. See y'all later. 😁

Another milestone today. 2 weeks out and I got to pull that awful uncomfortable dressing. Mobility is much better but I'm still a long way from my next marathon.

Still, how does one climb a mountain?...
