Assuming good coffee, just enough sugar to light up the coffee flavor itself. Not too sweet though. No cream.

Starbucks needs plenty of cream and sugar just to suck it down.

Years ago, I read a book about the daily lives of soldiers in the Civil War. Discussing breakfast, the book said that there was always coffee...if the soldiers didn't have time to brew it, they would just chew on the beans.
I thought to myself - that is a dedicated coffee man!
