I have to say I wimped out, I was planning on sneaking off to the Pub for 4 or 5 lunchtime pints, Mr's OG was watching the London Marathon where No 2 step daughter was competing, I didn't watch it but could hear it whilst lying on the bed reading a book, long and short of it is I came all over tired and emotional, closed the door and pulled up the drawbridge

And not just ANY Sunday!
In Germany we celebrate the 4 Sundays leading up to Christmas with one of these. One candle is lit on the fist Sunday, 2 on the second, etc.
The candles are handmade from beeswax by an adult, and the ring by a child. Only the candle-holders were bought in.

Off to a hotel and spa with Mrs g. So I'll be chilling out in the sauna.

Mother's day here. Hotel was a Christmas present from the kids.

Nice track. Missed it in December.

Hotel is "way down the country" or next door in US terms. 1 hour and 45 minutes drive.

I've noticed hours are a unit of distance over there
