Um... QVC and other buyers were duped into thinking they could play a guitar with one was unsuitable or possibly unplayable for a beginner. They cost nearly the same as a good setup.

It was nice and shiny with sparkly embellishments that caught the eye of the typical hardcore QVC viewer.

Years ago when I still had QVC available I'd land on QVC in a pointless channel surf. I saw far too many of the awful "instruments". As a long time guitar player, I could not look away in horror.

I met Esteban, before he was QVC famous, when he was merely a high-paid bar player at the Hyatt Gainey Ranch resort in Scottsdale, where he entranced bored leather-skinned housewives and formed his bull**** backstory. He’s been playing the same 30 pieces forever. That’s his daughter on violin.
