Yeah I really like the 50’s tele ….the 60’s strat , through owning two different ones ,didn’t do it for me ….I tried to like it (them ) but couldn’t get tones I use to get out of my 2012 standard no matter how I tweaked the amps(s) / pedals . But other wise I do agree with the review of this post .. mostlyBeautiful guitar!! CV's are really a great line of guitars. I own one single coil guitar and it's a CV 50's Tele. Great guitar.
Open a ‘50s cv strat and tele both have pine bodies and are great guitar’s definitely on par with my other fendersJust thought I'd share my thoughts (for anyone who is interested) on my Classic Vibe '60s Strat after having owned it for a month and a half now.
I bought the guitar brand new from Sweetwater, and recieved it on October 18th.
The guitar is good. Really good.
The only issues were that the tuning machines were sub par, but I swapped them out with some that I had lying around, and the cheap volume pot got scratchy, so I installed a Bournes 250K audio taper pot, and now there is nothing at all to complain about with this guitar.
The fit and finish are perfect, flawless, and the color is gorgeous. The pickups are, IMO, really good, and the hardware is just fine.
I love the neck, and the fretwork was great right out of the box. The only thing I will say about the frets is that I wouldn't mind if they were a bit bigger. The specs say "narrow tall frets", but they aren't very tall. They are very much in the vintage fret size neighborhood, which is not bad, just not my first choice. That being said, I have been playing this guitar a lot since I got it (almost exclusively), and I've gotten used to it, and it's not really an issue.
It's lighter weight than my other Strats (2 MIM Standards) and has a thicker, more beefy tone overall than the others. It also has plenty of sustain. No dead spots or weird resonance issues anywhere on the neck.
Anyway, IMO it's a great guitar, and definitely worth the money and then some.

I believe that the Indonesian CV's use Nyatoh, and the earlier Chinese CV's were Alder, but either are excellent.Open a ‘50s cv strat and tele both have pine bodies and are great guitar’s definitely on par with my other fenders
You said it all regarding Classic Vibes as far as I'm concerned @Ebidis ... I'm a total convert since I bought my CV 50's Tele.. and the only fault I've had with that is the jack plug. Needs changing, and will be changed.Just thought I'd share my thoughts (for anyone who is interested) on my Classic Vibe '60s Strat after having owned it for a month and a half now.

+1! Same issue with the jack, but it's an easy fix. I'm very impressed with the neck on my 2009 50's CV strat. Very close to my favorite '59 roundback Warmoths in profile. I've leveled frets on several necks but this just doesn't need it, which is rare. I believe the frets are medium jumbos. Weight 6 lbs 14 oz.You said it all regarding Classic Vibes as far as I'm concerned @Ebidis ... I'm actually very excited about a NGD coming up when I return to England for Christmas.. and that's this beauty.. an unused 2008 Classic Vibe Duo-Sonic. I haven't had a GAS for years, but everyone's allowed a burp occasionally aren't they..
hello,I just bought the exact same model because Pro Audio had a huge sale (I think it’s still ongoing?) for only $250! I figured for that price what’s to lose? Man, did I luck out. I freakin’ love this guitar. I didn’t like the tiny pot metal trem block so I tried something I’ve always wanted to do and put in a solid brass one from Musiclily and, on a whim, some solid brass saddles just to see what they would do. I really couldn’t be happier. LPB has always been my favorite color. I added some relief to the neck and adjusted the action to 5/64 and now I’m in love (again). Squier is killing it these days with this CV line.

Here's the link to the brass block. It fits the bridge perfectly BUT I don't use the trem arm and those holes do not line up. If that's also the case for you then it should work perfectly.hello,
She looks great in this finish!
can you put a link of the models of bridges that you changed?
As well as the link for the Musiclily brass weight because there are several models?
thank you
Here is mine CV 60 candy apple
it is really well finished and very pleasant to play
the neck and the frets are nickel
I may be going to mount standard US 98 pickups that will be given to me..
