I don't know anything about the Axesrus but you might look into a Fender Deluxe Drive bridge pickup. It's a really hot pickup that should do what you are looking for. I have one that I used in a strat for a while but I couldn't find anything in my collection of stuff that would balance with it that I liked. there were several others that liked the setup I had but it just didn't fit well for the sound that was in MY head.

Don’t know about that specific axesrus pickup, but I have used others from them in the past and not been disappointed.

Edited to add: a monstertone PT, f520 or a quarter pound are genuine single coils while giving more power than normal. If I was in your boat I’d consider them at least.

The creamery in Manchester may be worth a look. They make a good range of stuff.

Ask Daniel Steinhardt from "That Pedal Show" about the pickups he has in his red Custom Shop Telecaster. That guitar has a more aggressive tone, and not too twangy.
