So I didn't see a thread for Tweed Deluxe owners. I did see one for Tweed amps but most of the posts were from folks with amps covered in tweed and not a tweed circuit. So let's see your 5e3 Tweed Deluxe amps, fender or otherwise.

Here is mine. It's a Fender 57 Custom Deluxe. They are hand wired and built pretty darn exact to the specs of the originals and they come with the proper 12ay7 tube in V1 unlike the 57 reissue from a few years back that had a 12ax7. Special designed Jensen alnico speaker, 12 watts and glorious tones!

I too installed a Weber alnico, although in the pic there is a D120. It sounded glorious, but was way heavier that the wattage called for!

My fav amp EVER was a mid-50s tweed Deluxe.....the real deal. Gigged with it for years. Lightweight, enough power and more tone than the law allows. Alas, when my last band threw in the towel in 2008, it was sold along with all my other gear. Miss that little gem!

I built a Mojotone kit a few years ago, with a few component substitutions. It's got a Weber 12A125A speaker, Jupiter coupling caps, and after trying several values I ended up with 0.05uF couplers for the first stages. If you look closely you can see that the amp was already reliced by my cats before I even got it screwed together.

I had a 1960 5E3 but it's now gone. All original except the speaker. I built a new one from a Boothill kit and installed a Weber 12A125-O. I installed power scaling for a master volume and added circuitry to make it a Tweed Royal making it very versatile. I can use it as a 5E3, 5E3 with a nfb loop, 5F1 single ended, or a 5F2A and anywhere in-between.
