I am going to get it fixed definitely. Sorry I should have mentioned that earlier. Have to drive 2.5 hours roundtrip though :)
Actually, this video was made for that Luthier, just to give him a heads up.
Hey folks, got this one in Jan-22. Own a fender MIM already since 2017, but wanted to go for a vintage tone. Well, tonewise I like the the CV-50, but soon after few days and setting up the action to a reasonable height (not too low), I noticed that the 8th fret was high towards thicker strings...
In my little experience, Ceramics Humbuckers are better than Alnicos. They may be more economical as well. Actually, I had changed by Epiphone LP100 pickups for Slash-APH ALnico-2 Pros. Now I feel the ceramics were better.
It should be there, this website displays the S/N for Squiers --- https://www.guitarinsite.nl/serienummers-squier_eng.php---
When I looked, it said "This serial number was not recognized in the decoder for Squier."
Thanks guys. Its going back. I'll return it tomorrow.

I got into buying a Squier Affinity Telecaster. 2 tone-sunburst. I have a MIM strat and an Epiphone LP, just wanted to try this one out. I had seen some decent reviews about it and they considered the product grade and price point.
This one was a December 2020 model manufactured in...
Not many symptoms upfront..I could feel (guess..) a tiny bit drop in the volume...in recent months..it went quiet today..I changed from clean to dirty...it played-on with reduced volume and in few seconds it went silent.
I sneaked from back, into these 3 valves (tubes)....they were...
no actually it was just first time and it broke from my MIM, just from the tuning peg. I broke an old E on my epiphone LP after 2 days, since the length of strat e string is more, the broken one worked on my LP, but just during tuning process, it broke from the steel ball (fag end).
