My absolute favorite part, and stick with me on this one, is the ability of the OP to never address any direct questions without using a different question or simply ignoring facts as presented.
He is like that 3 Card Monty dealer, or David Copperfield and uses distraction in the hopes you...
Well they do say that British and Americans are two cultures separated by a common language, and I am sure the same could be said for US and Australia.
Maybe his "Mate" came to collect this guitar and he brought the Australian equivalent of a loan collector with pipes and axe handles.
Just hope @Parksie is ok. We need the entertainment around here to distract from the usual is this cardboard guitar real, how come this looks like a lego...
Too personal? Too personal?
I have not, and have not detected any one attacking you personally.
In fact most if not all the posts have avoided you as a person, but some have commented on the odd behavior or actions. If you consider that a personal attack I am sorry.
All the comments so...
1971 Olympic White with black undercoat - original finish or re-finished?
Asked and answered.. It is a non factory refinish by a guy with one eye and no idea how to get rid of the dings and runs left in the refinish paint. You paid about 9k to much. sorry.
I have an AVRI reissiue 70s strat...
We have not seen under the hood, or any other hardware other than the poor paint job you wish to shill as factory. The edge of the pickguard looks like someones dog used it to chew upon, and the springs are miss matched at best, and quite corroded as well. What does the underside of the...

Once again the OP ignores the answer in front of his face, addressing his specific questions about the paint stick, placement, and body refinishing, to grasp at other straws in a hope of deflecting the truth or inconvenient truth.
In post 110 I gave you links to how Fender used paint sticks. They had a process. I will quote the source material here. Please read it then reply:
"Starting at the end of 1962, Fender changed how they held the body when spraying it. Now they used a "stick" that was screwed in the neck pocket...
I understand you want to use an example from the web, but I would prefer a more reputable non snake oil selling example. He has stolen two images from the page I pointed you to in post 110 about information about painted over finishes. In my opinion you could not have chosen a worse example of...
My friend Bill said that unless Parksie hears that he painted it, on a Friday, in July 1971 because some bloke wanted a damn white guitar and all they had were sunburst.
That the reason the finish sucked was because Bill dropped some great blotter acid right after lunch and had to paint this...
