    American Original Stratocaster Club

How is the American Original '50s Alder? All nitro. How do the Pure '59 pups sound- non RWRP, all 6k? The truss rod adjustment seems like the only downside. If it had a tinted neck and headstock adj. I guess it would be perfect. Awesome as it is-I guess.

Vintera 50s and 60s Stratocaster Club

It's got some pros + cons: the nitro body, but the fretboard, respectively.

The only thing about a partscaster, is there is no return on investment. They want all the original parts so they can return to original b4 selling (on a modded gtr). With a partscaster build from the ground up, you pretty much just have to keep or hand down to kids, not easy to sell.

I don’t get the Jr. thing

I had a black satin worn 60s Tribute. Light weight/chambered, great sounding p90s. The reason I got rid of it is, the fretboard was narrower than the neck. There was a gap on the sides of the fb. Gibson just said: return to retailer. It was the last one, so I could not get a replacement. I...

    Any love for BLUE guitars?

I had a Fullerton G&L Lake Placid Blue Comanche. It came with a white pg and a 12" radius rosewood fretboard. I cannot find the flash drive with the actual pics, still looking. The locking tuners made the headstock heavy, but the metallic paint was awesome.

    System 1 Tremolo Locking Nut

I did have the same LN on this pictured Strat. I never broke any strings with it, but you are right it was a hassle. I really wanted to replace the fine tuner trem and nut, but sold. If it's not really a vintage correct guitar you could remove and install a Graph Tech nut.

    For Sale Keeley mod

I have a Boss DS-1 with the Keeley Seeing Eye mod for sale. The Seeing Eye Mod has better tone, increased gain and the installation of an LED in the "o" in Tone to monitor signal intensity. This pedal also acts like a gain boost, can push the amp. $60.

Are Noiseless pickups from 1991 Strat worth buying?

I uninstalled them from a Deluxe Player and installed Fat 50s. The Noiseless are humbuckers, they don't sound like Strat pups (imho). They had 2 -500k pots and a different value cap. I guess If someone needed to play a large venue at high volume.

NGD PRS Silver Sky Golden Mesa

Yeah, we almost have to order from the internet now, at least some sites display multiple pics and post the weights. Seems like all the Stone Blue are sold out until Aug. There are still some Evergreen, Moon White and a few Dragon Fruit guitars out there.

I hope to snap up an SS SE b4 they go over 1k.

Played a PRS Silver Sky SE - NG

Exactly what I was thinking. SS SE is 1/2 the price of an Am Pro2. Are you getting a good sound from the pups? Have to wait 'till Aug. for a Stone Blue but the other colors are out there.

What does the 60s Roadworn look like? Have you used the Mod Shop for the custom build or is it a CS build?

Fender Hand Wound 57 vs Fat 50s

I installed a set of Fat 50s before they were a CS item. I guess they were standard in the American Strat a while ago. Awesome tone. They are fuller, not as scooped as say the 57/62 set. Have not heard the CS HW 57s.

Yes, I agree. The Ensenada body work seems good, but they can't devote too much time on fretwork? I'm hoping this + this = poor man's Custom Shop. Or a Silver Sky...

I have thought about a partscaster. Good idea. Having modded a Strat once before...now I'm in a plug + play mode. It's tough to find a Strat w/all the required specs. I would like a flame Maple +...good...slab of 9.5"r Rosewood neck to install, like I see on the Custom Shop Models.

Are you referring to the Burgundy Mist Vintera 60s Modified? It has a 2 pt and Pao Ferro. I think you can only get this Purple Metallic Road Worn 60s w/a 6 pt and Maple @ CME.

Where is that guitar? Only the Road Worn (7.25"r) gtrs have Nitro. The 3 reasons I would buy one is, 3ply pg, Nitro, and paint color. The other Vinteras are all Poly. I wish I could find a Nitro finish on a 9.5"r guitar. Under 2k?

Ok, looks good. I am kind of leaning towards the Firemist Gold. I have never had that color gtr. body, it really looks like a vintage guitar. I spec'd a flame Maple (not 3A), dark Rosewood 9.5"r fb neck on Warmoth (about 450.)...in case I don't like the neck-just for fun. I think I still have...

To all Vintera owners- which Stratocaster to buy? 7.25"radius, 6 PT., Pao Ferro fretboard, Nitro vs 9.5" radius, 2 PT., Maple fretboard, Poly + S1.
